Tic-Tac-Toss
Increase the range of motion and gross motor coordination in your arms. IMAGE imgs/GM-b.htm02.gif
Preparation
Make the tic-tac-toss game board and game pieces:
1.Use a marker or masking tape to make a tic-tac-
toe grid on the poster board. Make the grid
large enough for a beanbag to be tossed into any
of the squares. You will need to make the
squares approximately 7"x 7". In which case
the lines in the grid will be about 21 inches long.
2.You will need to designate 5 beanbags as "X's"
and 5 beanbags as "O's". You can do this by
sticking masking tape on the beanbag in the
shape of an "X" or an "O" or by drawing on the
beanbag with a marker. You could also
designate the beanbags by color.

Position

Directions
1.Prepare the tic-tac-toss playing board as
described in the preparation section.
2.Play tic-tac-toss with 2 players. Assign
one player to be the "X's" and the other
player to be the "O's" or use two sets of
colored beanbags.
3.Place a line of tape on the floor to stand
behind. This is the tossing line.

4.Take turns tossing your beanbags onto the grid from behind the
tossing line. The player who gets three of his beanbags in a row
either down, across, or diagonally wins the game. If the
beanbag doesn't land on the playing board, the player loses a
turn and the next player tosses. If the beanbag lands on the
board either outside of the grid or on the line, the player tries
again. Before the game begins you may want to set a limit on
the number of tries allowed.
5.To make the game more challenging, move the game board
further away from the tossing line or move it closer to make the
game easier. You can set the game board on the floor or on a
table.
